The other night I went on a tour to Alcatraz, as soon as I got there my camera died, so I had to make do with my phone which is sorta shitty!

Silence is the key, let the photos tell the story.
I have only the one photo pose
FISHERMAN’S WHARF, PIER 39
GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE
LA really isnt that fantastic, i see it as a glorified slum, homeless people everywhere, rubbish in every gutter and some days the smog is that bad that they actually have smog warnings, not so much this time of year, but come summer…
My first night there i was just walking down Hollywood blvd when i see a huge crowd around a night club window, so i check it out, before i get there i come across the most potent smell of weed it was ridiculous.
So when i get to the window and look in….
It’s been cool, I got to hang out with a friend we made i think fours ago in David, the singer of Final Fight. That night Final Fight had their record release show with Set Your Goals. It was so cool to finally get to see FF, I’ve been waiting for it basically since I met Dave.
Pretty uneventful, i got the night bus from Kyoto to Tokyo, which fucking sucked, my eyes would only shut to blink.
I got back to Sun Heights at 6:30, tried to sleep on the couch in the entry, that was pathetic and uncomfortable. 30 minutes later Blackout and Marty woke up after being out all night at a karaoke bar to go snowboarding, they looked as wasted as i did!
I wrote this out nearly a week ago, but here it is…
Tonight I’ve basically been torn apart by boredom, not that i havent been seeing amazing things, far from it. Its just that I’ve had too much time to do these few things.
i had to check out of my hostel at 10am, so i got my shit together, bailed out and had to go straight to the Kyoto train station to figure out how I’m going to get back to Tokyo tonight in order to fly out tomorrow… From where i was staying it would normally be a couple of trains back to the station, seeing as I had ample amounts of time, I did what the jews did… I walked. I get to the station, suss a night bus back to Tokyo that leaves at 10:30pm, it’s now 11:30am, I’ve got time to kill, so I walk…
I walk to the Fushimi-inari shrine, that took maybe an hour, the place is amazing… Literally thousands of of monuments lining paths all around the temple, a shot from ‘Memoirs of a Giesha’ was filmed there. so i had my little moment, and then moved on.
To ‘Toji Temple,’ the tallest timber structure in Japan, maybe the world, i wasnt listening…
After all of this i make move back to the station. It’s only 5pm, fuck this!
I do some more shopping (I have spent far too much money here!) kill some more time, go to the top of another tower look at some shit, sit in starbucks for close to two hours and the staff hate me.
In the last two days I’ve covered more than 50km on bike and foot, every step is now a world of pain.
And now im sitting on the cold floor of the Bus station offices waiting to catch a bus through the night back to Tokyo…
Over the last week ive been visiting a lot of amazing places, jumping a lot of trains, walking a lot of km’s and today especially riding around… a lot.
Capsule hotel living large!
Today i hired a bike and went for a ride, i rode literally all day.
first to Kinkakuji (the golden pavilion).
Then i made move to Ginkakuji temple.
Its late, this thing takes far too long. Tomorrow I have to figure out how im getting back to Tokyo and then to LA.
And now I’m wrecked… peace
The last few days have been awesome, on the 30th of last month i checked out of my hostel in asakusabashi and made move to meet up with adam, josh, marty, skan and K.MAC (more or less carpathian). They have come over here to play a few shows and was basically a convenient reason for me being here in the first place….
Seeing as Adam lives over here he’s pretty much been our tour guide around all the different areas of tokyo, Shibuya, Shinjuku and Harajuku. It seriously didnt stop raining for 2 days which was pretty disappointing but we picked up some umbrellas that they leave outside all the 7/11’s, we’ve figured its a communal thing, so we grabbed them and pushed through it…
The shows were awesome, super receptive crowds that really seem to love the music. On sunday was the “PUMP UP THE VOLUME 2009 fest”, that was rad, so many good bands with such good people. The fest and the other shows have been put on by a guy called ‘Daiki’, he runs and owns “ALLIANCE TRAX.” Josh, Skan, Kane and I all crashed at his apartment for a few nights, along with this kid “Uskai” (no idea how to spell it) really nice dude aswell… We’ve been getting driven around by “Daihei (cant spell it, die-hey) and “Shuhei” each of them have so much personality, these dudes are great!
Checked out the batting cages in Shinjuku, cant figure out how to rotate the photos, meh… Kevin Youkilis!
Too tired, too lazy, more photos when i can be fucked!
